Revisting '04

I have to admit this year hasn't been so bad, in fact it has been great.

-great family and friends
-great relationship (love you !)
-good job

I guess the bad would be....

-car getting broken into and still not fixed

So, I hope you had a decent year and if not, then hope 2005 is better!

Now let's party!

Violated

Someone broke into my car today... and ripped out my stereo, a empty box-like area, cup holder, lighter, and part of the gear shift panel. Pictures to come later. I can't believe this. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. And so close to Christmas too. Man this is really going to be an expensive holiday.

Wish I lived in Australia

"CANBERRA (Reuters) - An Australian phone company is offering customers the chance to blacklist numbers before heading out for a night on the town so they can reduce the risk of making any embarrassing, incoherent late-night calls.
A survey of 409 people by Virgin Mobile, a joint venture of The Virgin Group and Optus, found 95 percent made drunk calls.

Of those calls, 30 percent were to ex-partners, 19 percent to current partners, and 36 percent to other people, including their bosses.

The company also found that 55 percent of those polled would grab for their phone first the next morning to check who they had drunkenly dialed, compared with just eight percent who went for the headache pills first. "

And the wine is flowing......

Quote of the Day:

" Don't get smart with me! Cause I'll hit you and call 912 slowly!"

Yes, people 912, and that's what she meant!

Sliding and Siding

Well, it is very very windy outside and of course, part of the siding to the front of the house, is now in the back yard.

Happy Turkey Day!!

A day of relaxation, good food, great people and wine!!!! Gotta love the wine factor. So hope everyone has a great Thansgiving.

I've got a funny story for ya

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Bemused diners watched as three hapless thieves unsuccessfully tried to kick open a sliding door in a botched attempt to rob an Australian seafood restaurant, police said on Monday.

The men, wearing balaclavas, ran off empty-handed but left their bootprints on the industrial-strength glass door in a robbery bid that Australian Broadcasting Corp. radio said could have been mistaken as "a rehearsal for a slapstick comedy."

Police said about 20 diners watched as the men, one of whom was carrying a knife, tried to push open the door of the restaurant in the coastal village of Gerringong, 140 km (85 miles) south of Sydney, and then began kicking the glass.

"They're probably more dangerous because they're dumb," police investigator Jamie Williams said.

Restaurant owner Greg Moore said diners remained calm as they watched events unfold while enjoying dessert and coffee.

"The door's open, the sign says 'Slide' but obviously with their balaclavas they couldn't read too well," Moore said.

Diners were given complimentary bottles of wine after the bizarre episode. Police later found what they believe to be a stolen car used in the robbery attempt, and are continuing their investigations.

Life with no Cable

I don't have cable and never have. The only time I did was in my last two years of college.
When I would tell people that I don't have cable they looked shocked! and felt the need to either:

1. Laugh or,
2. Ask why? or,
3. Tell me to get it or,
4. Look at me with a confused expression, like what TV doesn't come with cable?

Anyway, I don't have much time so it doesn't bother me...but there are times when I do crave music videos. Of course, I would love to see the educational stuff too....but now I am addicted...yes addicted to Launch. I have been playing Destiny's Child "Lose My Breath" and Seether with Amy Lee's "Broken" video's for a lllloooooonnnnggggg time.

So sad......but much cheaper than cable.

BTW: I've been trying to dance like Destiny's Child....and right now I have a heating pad on my back. That'll teach me!

When was the phone invented???

Here's a little history for everyone....

The phone was invented in 1876 (or close to it) by Alexandar Graham Bell at the age of 29.

It is now 2004 almost 2005....how come some people don't know how this lovely invention works???
